It was over 40 years ago that Marty made the journey south to Atlanta from his hometown of Brooklyn. He was completing his degree in animal behavior at Emory University and the world renowned Yerkes Primate Center. However, a part-time job at The Abbey changed the course of his life. He realized his true calling was in the hospitality business and making people happy through food and wine. For over 25 years Marty worked at Bones Restaurant till Dennis made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. In his spare time, he loves traveling with his wife, Cynthia, and honing is pit-master skills by BBQing at home. They share their home with 3 cats and the newest addition, Zach, an 18 month old pitbull mix.
